This came to my mind suddenly, 粉黛紅 and gave rise to the first line after many revisions during my evening jog…

1 夕陽何苦掛天空 Why does the setting sun still lingers in the sky?
2 殘光難恃粉黛紅 For its dying rays could hardly rely on their rouge of red.
3 蓬萊隔別辭無語 Paradise had left with nary a word of goodbye,
4 仍舊莫棄此生夢 And yet unwilling to abandon this dream of life.
