Forever More Parted

This life from now onwards, we will be eternally separated,
Fate is wonderous that we met easily but parting is capricious.
At morn, a hero be but a dying candle in the night,
Time has no wish for Youth to remain a guest for too long.

The last line now tells us that it is not a person that has been parted from the poet.

For Whom Do Gulls Fly?

This was inspired by my walk along the cliffs facing the far off Catalina Island.

This flock of seagulls – for whom do they fly?
The slow sinking sun as gentle breezes coldly blew.
Spring colors of the world wait for no one,
4世間黑暗難分離 ‘tis difficult to part the darkness on this earth.

1 A rhetoric question. They flew away from the approach of the author.

3,4 These two lines can be taken literally or figuratively.
